Union County Democrats Past Chair Glen Scheele and other Precinct Committee Persons organized OUR FIRST STAND: SAVE HEALTH CARE Rally in La Grande, Oregon with more than 20 people braving 10 F weather to gather and march to Rep. Greg Walden's office to post our demands. Then on to share stories at Oregon Rural Action about the importance of health care for all people. Some participants traveled from Baker City to join the Rally. We expect to rally again in the weeks to come. In the words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., "The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy."
