Below are links to maps of Union County, Oregon voting precicnts. We thank the County Clerk for making these maps available for purchase and confirming that we can post these on our website.
Below is a list of Union County Voting Precincts showing the precinct number, the number of positions per precinct and the allowcation of male and female precinct committee positions.
You will learn some of the many ways that you can help get Democratic candidates elected. By working as a Precinct Committee Person you are the Democratic Party at its grassroots best. You have your own part of your neighborhood that you can get to know, educate, and motivate to vote. What we do this year not only makes a difference in the next election, it builds a sustainable base for the future.

OK Patriot, you've taken the PCP101 class and have your PCP Handbook, now you move up to PCP 102, the Advanced Precinct Person.
Check the Upcoming Events on the right sidebar for the next scheduled classes, and download the pdf document to print and add to your PCP Handbook.
If you just can't wait for the next class (ooh, I like that about you!) contact your HDL and ask them to drink coffee and go through the PCP 102 book with you.
Then make them pay for the coffee!

This page is meant to be a tutorial on basic Lobby skills. It is based on the information presented by Alice Bartelt, Carol Greenough, and Jennifer Warren at our 2005/01 central committee meeting. Please go through it and send any comments or suggestions to webmaster@washcodems.org.
The most fundamental action is simply to contact your representative (or an aide) in support or opposition on a specific issue or bill. This can be written, through regular mail or email, or verbally over the phone.
One way of doing this is to respond to action alerts. The advantage is that you are adding your voice to many others and you are contacting them at a legislatively important time. This tends to have the greatest impact. The WashCoDem websites has a section for Action Alerts and info on how to contact your representative. Please review these pages periodically and contact your representative, its an easy way to stay involved and add your voice.
WashCo Dem Issue Pages
Its just as important to write to Republicans as to Democrats, the alert will usually specify who to contact and provide some background you can include in your letter. Put the letter in your own words, concerning 1 topic, and keep in under 1 page (2-3 paragraphs).
The following links provide additional tips (from various groups) about letter writting and contacting your representative.
Writing a Letter to the editor is also an important way to get the word out. Our Issues page contains a list of area newspapers and how to contact them. The links below contain letetr writing tips.
This is the general process followed in Congress and Salem. Action alerts can be sent at any of these stages to help move or kill a specific bill. Our action alert blog will help notify you when to contact your representatives based on where a bill is in this process.
Our state legislature maintains a useful website, check the links below to explore it.
Review these links to monitor your representatives or track specific issues.

A blog is a your place to post articles, action alerts, or other information that is important to you and you want to share with other democrats.
You can use this procedure to edit any webpage.
Before you upload an image you need to make sure it is no more than 1-200K bytes in size. You can do shrink a large image file with the Paint program.
A Forums are a place to discuss issues with your fellow democrats. You can create a new forum topic or comment on an existing topic.
You can use this procedure to edit any webpage. House distirct leaders will mainly want to keep their house district page up to date.
Two databases are available to the Washington county democrats. We need volunteers who are willing to generate precinct lists and email them to our pcp's who request them. Volunteer lists can also be generated and delivered for organizing purposes (House district meetings or newsletters). The goal is that each house district have a designated database user who can generate and deliver these lists.
Once you get your account, here are some instructions on doing the basic functions (you probably wont need all of these). Contact the chair or vice chair (Lupita or Steve) to get an account.
Van: (Voter Database)
This is a statewide database of all registered voters, it can be used to lookup voters and generate precinct lists

Get Active (Volunteer Database)
This is our volunteer database, it is used to generate a list of PCPs or other volunteers that can then be printed or emailed.
