Why Us?

The Union County Democratic Party states their interest in promoting
Health Care as a Human Right in this Platform and Principles Statement:
We, the members of the Democratic Party of Union County Oregon, support…
Healthcare as a Human Right--It is a moral outrage for a country as wealthy as ours to leave 60 million people with no reliable access to health care and tens of millions more with inadequate or overly expensive coverage.

This health care resolution is an important step in bringing health care to all people in rural Oregon, the state and U.S. Your presence is needed - stand up for health care! For information contact: Bill Whitaker, 541-805- 5681, bill@oregonrural.org

Another Opportunity: Attend the Union County Board of Commissioners meeting, Wednesday, January 14 at 9:00 a.m. when the Health Care Resolution will be discussed and ask them to “Have a Heart” and pass the Health Care Resolution”. Commissioners Steve McClure (Chair), Jack Howard and Donna Beverage meet at 1106 K Avenue, La Grande and can be reached at: http://union-county.org/commissioners/.
